LINXOX

BDD electro-oxidation

LinxOx applies boron-doped diamond electrochemistry to difficult dissolved contaminants after the water has been prepared for controlled oxidation.

WHAT IT DOES

The process inside the equipment.

LinxOx passes conditioned water through modular BDD electrode cells under controlled electrical loading. The electrochemical environment produces highly reactive oxidizing species at the electrode surface that can transform difficult dissolved organics.

Performance depends heavily on conductivity, background demand, contaminant concentration, competing species, temperature, residence time, and energy input. Every LinxOx application therefore begins with treatability work before full-scale sizing or performance commitments.

HOW IT WORKS

A controlled path from influent to result.

01

Prepare

Solids, oil, and incompatible upstream loading are removed to protect the electrochemical process.

02

Apply current

Controlled power drives the BDD cells at the operating conditions established by testing.

03

Oxidize

Reactive species transform target compounds through staged contact or recirculation.

04

Verify

Sampling and process data confirm response, energy demand, and the need for downstream polishing.

EQUIPMENT CAPABILITIES

Built around the duty—not a fixed catalog box.

AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS

A starting platform for application engineering.

Compact

5–50 GPMModular package for smaller flows, pilots, polishing, and staged deployment.

Standard

100–500 GPMParallelized cell and power architecture for larger continuous-duty applications.

Pilot

Test-definedRecirculating or single-pass configuration used to establish dose, kinetics, and energy demand.

Published ranges identify current Linx platform configurations. Final hydraulic capacity, materials, loading, retention, utility demand, and performance basis are established for the application.

BEST-FIT APPLICATIONS

Where LINXOX earns its place.

  • Difficult dissolved COD
  • Color and refractory organics
  • Selected trace-organic treatment
  • Leachate and industrial process water
  • Advanced polishing after solids removal
  • PFAS-focused treatability programs where testing supports the application

DESIGN DATA REQUIRED

What Linx needs to size it.

  • Full laboratory characterization
  • Target compounds and required endpoint
  • Conductivity, chloride, alkalinity, and pH
  • COD/TOC and competing oxidant demand
  • Temperature and solids loading
  • Bench or pilot dose-response and energy data

TREATMENT-TRAIN INTEGRATION

Designed as a family. Connected as a system.

UPSTREAM

LinxGuard, LinxFloat, LinxSettle, or LinxPolish pretreatment removes solids and interfering loads.

CORE PROCESS

BDD cells, power conversion, recirculation, cooling as required, instrumentation, and controls.

DOWNSTREAM

Media, membrane, AOP, UV, adsorption, neutralization, or verification sampling as required.

CONFIGURE LINXOX

Start with the water, duty, and operating result.

Send the available flow and laboratory data, treatment target, site constraints, utilities, schedule, and operating plan. Linx will turn those inputs into a buildable LINXOX design basis and integrated equipment concept.
